Gary Neville's tenure as coach in La Liga did not go as planned. Valencia followers have not forgotten about it, and neither has the team. But even if it was a traumatic experience, the Spanish club has found it in them to make fun of that stint while aiming a dig at their former boss.
It all started when a follower urged Valencia to follow him back. The fan asked them to do so or he would work everything out to have Gary Neville back as coach. The team's social media group replied with a cheeky remark that surely made a dent on the pundit's ego.

Then, the team's Twitter feed admitted they were loyal to Marcelino García Toral, their current coach.

Last, but not least, the team had a similar joke when a fan asked them to follow him back, or two key members of the team would return to the Premier League.

Neville spent three months as Valencia's coach, but the team was only able to win three out of sixteen La Liga games. They did better in other competitions, but the club was in danger of being relegated under Neville, which forced the club to sack the English pundit before such a catastrophe took place.
