Current form: Lazio vs AC Milan

With Lazio out of the Europa League and well behind in the Scudetto race, the Coppa Italia is the only trophy still available for the Biancocelesti. Furthermore, winning this title would ensure that Lazio automatically qualify for the Europa League next term, as even securing a Europa League berth is not an absolute guarantee with the team presently sitting in sixth and both Torino and Atalanta breathing down their necks.

It has not been the best February for the hosts, who come into this game having lost their last league fixture - a 2-1 reversal against Genoa. That came following victories against Empoli and Frosinone, but neither were convincing as the Aquile only managed to grind out 1-0 results in both cases, and along the way they were also beaten both home and away in the Europa League round of 32 by serial Europa League champions Sevilla.

Milan, by contrast, has been in solid form as of late. The Rossoneri come into this game unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions, and have won their last three league fixtures comfortably, which is setting them up nicely for a top four finish. In addition, Gennaro Gattuso's side have now closed the gap on third-placed Inter to just two points thanks to their three-game winning streak in Serie A, and a key part of their recent revival is the excellent showings of new signing Krzysztof Piatek.

The Polish attacker, who arrived from Genoa, is enjoying a brilliant debut season in Serie A, and with seven goals in just his first six appearances for his new club - including a brace against Napoli in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals - he will be looking to take advantage of Lazio's struggling defense and continue his strong run in the Coppa Italia.

How they got here: Lazio vs AC Milan

Lazio were able to defeat Milan's cross-town neighbors, Inter, in the quarter-finals after holding the Nerazzurri to a scoreless draw over 90 minutes and extra time. Certainly, with this being the only piece of silverware available for Simone Inzaghi's side, the Biancocelesti will be hoping to do a double of sorts and beat Milan as well.

As for Milan, Piatek's brace was enough for them to see off Napoli in an impressive 2-0 victory, and now the Rossoneri will be looking to take one step closer towards the finals by finding a way past Lazio.
