The Bianconeri conceded a late equaliser which ensured that spoils were shared.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri was very critical of his players following the 3-3 draw with Parma in the Serie A encounter on Saturday. The Italian manager's side lost a two-goal lead, as the visitor's Gervinho stole the spotlight by ensuring that spoils were shared with a late equalizer.

Prior to that, the Ivorian and Antonino Barilla contributed the first two goals after Cristiano Ronaldo and Daniele Rugani had put the hosts in front. The former subsequently scored Juventus' third to take his tally for the season to 17.

The draw ensured that Juventus' lead atop the Serie A table was cut to nine points, ending a disappointing week which saw the Bianconeri exit the Coppa Italia following a 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in midweek. Despite the Old Ladies maintaining its unbeaten record in the domestic league as a result of the draw, Allegri could not hide his frustration.

The 51-year-old manager missed the services of Bonucci, Chiellini, and Barzagli and, as a result, started a backline featuring Cancelo, Rugani, Caceres and Leonardo Spinazzola.

"It was the first time this back four had played together and we didn't help the center-backs, always leaving them in one-on-one situations," Allegri told DAZN after the game.

"They need to realize there is no shame in hoofing the ball into the stands if needs be. "At least we gave those who complained we weren't entertaining enough something to enjoy.

"Beautiful football doesn't [always] pay off, at the end of the day you've got to just kick it away from your goal.

"We lowered our guard after going 3-1 up and then again on the final ball for the equalizer. You cannot play with that attitude in the 93rd minute with the ball at the corner flag," he added.

"It was conceptually the wrong thing to try to keep that in play. Just kick it out."
