Just three days after their scoreless draw in Serie A, AC Milan and Napoli renew acquaintances in the Coppa Italia.

Current form: AC Milan vs Napoli

Milan and Napoli failed to find a way past each other in a frustrating scoreless stalemate last weekend and will face off once again in the Coppa Italia. Arguably, the Diavolo will probably be more satisfied with that result given they lost 3-2 in the reverse fixture earlier this season and have historically struggled against the Partenopei. By contrast, Carlo Ancelotti's side will feel like it was two points dropped more than one point earned, as they now have slipped 11 points behind Juventus and for all intents and purposes, it pretty much seems like the Scudetto race has already ended at this point in the season.

That being said, Napoli still haven't given up hope of catching the Bianconeri, although it will be really difficult to knock Massimiliano Allegri's side off their perch. Still, there are two more trophies to be won: the Coppa Italia, and the Europa League, and they will hope to take some steps towards the former by beating Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals later this evening at the Stadio San Siro.

Likewise, Milan's only shot at a piece of silverware remains the Coppa Italia. The Rossoneri were knocked out early from the Europa League after shockingly crashing out of the group stages, and have no chance at winning the Scudetto this season, so certainly Gennaro Gattuso's side will throw all their energies into trying to lift the cup this term. They will definitely face a stiff challenge though if they beat Napoli, as Inter, Lazio, Juventus, and Roma are among the top sides still remaining in the competition.

How they got here: AC Milan vs Napoli

Both Milan and Napoli earned 2-0 victories in the round of 16 to book their spots at this juncture. The Rossoneri, however, had to go to extra-time against Sampdoria to see things through, while the Partenopei had an easier time versus Sassuolo as they were able to see off the Neroverdi in regular time.
