Tottenham's hopes of signing Adrien Rabiot has been rocked as recent rumors claim the player is not willing to join Spurs. The reason: he favors a move to Liverpool instead.
The French midfielder is seeking a PSG exit. The 24-year-old refused to sign an extension with his Ligue 1 employers in a bid to force a move to Barcelona and has thus been frozen out of Tuchel's squad.
However, the Blaugrana recently acquired the services of Frenkie de Jong and are thus unlikely to spend on another midfielder this January. As a result, the player is now seeking an escape route elsewhere, with Les Parisiens preferring to sell him now than lose him for nothing in the summer.
Pochettino's crew has made a move for Rabiot in an attempt to bolster their midfield. The player was promised a starting role, a bumper wage package, and a signing-on fee. Furthermore, Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura, two of his former PSG team-mates, made attempts to lure him but all of that failed.

Adrien reportedly sees a move to the north London outfit as a step-down and according to Paris United, he is willing to hold out on his preferred destination: Anfield. The contract rebel, having supported the Reds as a child, sees the Merseyside giant as the only Premier League outfit for him.
While Barcelona is not completely out of the picture yet, the Catalan giant will need to raise funds before they can make a move. Meanwhile, Liverpool could swoop in and beat the Spanish giant to this signing should they make a concrete bid.
