The worst fears were confirmed by Tottenham's medical staff, as Harry Kane has been ruled out for almost two months due to an ankle injury.
The team revealed that Kane came down with an injury to the ligaments of his left ankle on Sunday's clash against Manchester United. The club has also revealed the treatment Kane will undergo before he returns to the pitch, although a surgery has been ruled out for the time being.

Kane's injury has set off the alarms at Tottenham, especially due to the team's upcoming games. Kane could be out for as much as ten matches, which could include the League Cup game against Chelsea (Jan 24), the first leg of their UEFA Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund (Feb 13) and the Premier League clashes against Chelsea and Arsenal (February 27 and March 2, respectively).
The team's injury report has immediately ended the team's interest in parting ways with Fernando Llorente, since the Spaniard's departure would leave the club without any strikers.
As soon as the news was revealed to the world, Kane took it to his Twitter feed to keep his fans at ease.
Injuries are part of the game but no-one will be working harder to get back fit. Thanks for the messages. pic.twitter.com/cUeq4zFrlk
