The game will be a momentuous occasion in the 2018-19 campaign, especially due to Liverpool's unbeaten status in the English top flight.

Ever been in a conversation with one of your friends where you keep saying that he's the best pal in the world, but then he comes back with a similar response? Well, that's sort of what happened between Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp in the build-up to the biggest showdown in the 2018-19 Premier League campaign.

Both managers referred to their rivals on Thursday as the best in the business, in what may seem as a way to take some pressure off their shoulders ahead of a crunch tie.

The curious thing comes when you realize that both managers shared similar thoughts almost at the same time, since both press conferences were held within minutes from the other.

Klopp shared his views on Pep's crew first.

"We have to be as good as possible be brave, full of desire, angry but with the knowledge that they are for me, still, the best team in the world. That is 100 per cent my opinion, how they play, what they have achieved, what they will achieve. Nothing has changed, only the points. It's a strong team with an outstanding manager and that is how it is," Klopp said.

But then, Guardiola hit Klopp back with similar words.

"At the moment Liverpool are the best team in Europe for the way they play and control the details in their game. It's a good challenge for us. Everybody asks what we are going to do if we lose but we are going to try to make our game and to win it," Guardiola added.

As of now, Liverpool has a seven-point lead over Manchester City after 20 games. The Reds are the only unbeaten team in the EPL, which would add delight to Pep's men if they can manage to beat the league leaders.

But speaking about their words today, which team do you think is better right now? Whatever your answer is, don't miss this clash with our detailed broadcast info, which you'll find if you scroll down a bit.
