The German manager and his Liverpool side entered Saturday's encounter with Arsenal with the knowledge of Wolves stunning Pochettino’s side.

Head coach of Liverpool Jurgen Klopp says his men will not be carried away by the fact that Tottenham Hotspur dropped points. The Reds' closest rival in the title race slumped to a surprise 3-1 defeat to Nuno Espirito Santos' men at Wembley.

The Portuguese side, bar Liverpool, has so far not lost to any of the other top five clubs in the Premiership. The Merseysiders subsequently capitalized on Tottenham's mishap cruising to a 5-1 victory and denying Arsenal the opportunity to do their crosstown rivals the favor of ensuring that the six-point gap was maintain.

Following the end of the proceeding, Klopp iterated that Liverpool was uninterested in the turn of event at Wembley. Despite stretching the gap atop the league table to nine, the Reds risk getting the difference cut down to just seven points should City win against Southampton on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's side can narrow the point gap down to four should it defeat the unbeaten league leaders in January 3rd's epic encounter.

"I would really love that we switch and you all come here and I come there," Klopp declared.

"In our case, by the way, tomorrow it will be seven and when we play against Man City it could be four. It's possible. "I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I'm really not an idiot - not always, at least. That's really nothing. It's absolutely not important how much points you are ahead in December, even at the end of December.

"What you all create, I get that, how can you not be positive about us? But you are the first if we drop three points and the next headline is: 'Are they nervous now?'. That's [an] easy job.

"I would love to be in your situation, still earn the money I earn, but be in your situation. We cannot play that game and we don't do it.

"Before the game, we heard because it was on all the screens about the result of Tottenham. Did you think the party started already? I didn't see a smile in any faces in the dressing room. Just see it and then go on.

"We came here in that situation with 54 points after 20 match days now completely being focused on the situation. Now it's not about creating headlines, creating stories.

"It's still about preparing football matches, play them as good as you can and try to get as many points as you can. That's it."

Liverpool's win over Arsenal on Saturday meant that for the first time in 30 years, the Reds have been unbeaten for 20 consecutive games in a single Premier League campaign.
