The Argentine has been linked with a move away from the London-based club, but it won't be cheap for Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino is the frontrunner to take the permanent job as Manchester United's boss, but his arrival won't come easy or cheap for Ed Woodward and the Red Devils' board.

Soon after Jose Mourinho was given the boot, the names of Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane emerged as the candidates to take over once the season comes to an end, since Manchester United execs wanted an interim boss to finish this campaign off. While Zidane's option is still one of the best, Woodward is believed to be "obsessed" by the possibility of having Pochettino around, which would make him try to lure the tactician away from Tottenham.

The main problem Manchester United will face if they want to lure Pochettino away to Old Trafford will be Daniel Levy's reluctance to boost a direct rival in the Premier League's title race. Tottenham's GM is known to be a tough negotiator, and he will not make it easy for Man United's hierarchy to land this signing.

In fact, Real Madrid tried to lure Pochettino away from Tottenham last summer, but Levy's demands to let the Argentine go were not met by Florentino Pérez. Those demands include a €45M clause in Pochettino's recently-signed deal, so, Manchester United will need to pay at least that amount of money to land the signing of the coveted tactician.

Only time will tell if Pochettino will end replacing Jose Mourinho as Manchester United's coach, but now all Red Devils' fans are aware of how much cash their execs will have to splash to sign the Argentine boss.
