The Special One was sacked on Tuesday, with one British news outlet claiming to know what the mood was like at Old Trafford in the aftermath.

While that now infamous deleted tweet of Paul Pogba smiling shortly after Mourinho's departure was confirmed can be blamed on pre-scheduled PR post, reports claim the Frenchman's reaction to Jose's sacking was no different.

Man United announced the end of the Special One's reign at Old Trafford on Tuesday morning, with everyone immediately speculating that the midfielder is happy to see the Portuguese tactician go. According to the Daily Mirror, the World Cup winner was in fact delighted to hear the news.

The British news outlet writes that the former Juventus star's response was to high-five team-mates in joy. Pogba's reasons, while condemnable, are obvious, having fallen out with Mourinho on numerous occasions.

The two had endured several bust-ups this season, with the Special One stripping the Frenchman of the vice-captaincy after losing his patience. That was followed by a public training-ground spat before Pogba was reportedly labeled "a virus" by the former gaffer.

However, the Red Devils record signing wasn't the only player to jump with joy at seeing Mourinho go. Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw are two other Old Trafford men delighted to hear the news, as both men had troubled relationships with the Portuguese tactician.

Furthermore, the atmosphere at the club reportedly changed for the better once Mourinho's fate had been decided. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will now take charge of the club for the remainder of the season and will try to salvage whatever is left of the campaign.
