What is the form of Arsenal compared to Tottenham?

Last weekend brought the end of Arsenal's unbeaten run. They lost 3-2 at Southampton in what was their first defeat since Matchday 2 in the Premier League, way back in August. However, the Gunners have still won four of their last six games in all competitions, which includes a 4-2 win over Spurs in the English top-flight.

As for Tottenham, the last time they suffered a defeat was the last time they traveled to the Emirates Stadium. Since then, they have won three times and earned a hard-fought draw at Camp Nou in the Champions League.

Arsenal vs Tottenham head-to-head record

Tottenham may sit higher in the table than their north London rival, but it should be noted that they haven't beaten Arsenal on the road in a while. Their last win at the Emirates Stadium was back in November 2010.

Games played: 196

Arsenal wins: 82

Tottenham wins: 63

Draws: 51

Who is injured/suspended for Arsenal vs Tottenham?

Both teams have a number of injury worries. For Unai Emery, his biggest headache is in the defensive department, as injuries left him with a make-shift center-back partnership of Koscielny and Xhaka in their recent defeat.

Sokratis returns from suspension, but Holding -- he is out for the remainder of the season -- and Mavropanos are sidelined. Bellerin and Kolasinac will not be risked while Mustafi will be assessed after coming off in the win over Huddersfield.

Pochettino has his own concerns. Both Vertonghen and Dier are out until January while the likes of Mousa Dembele, Serge Aurier, and Victor Wanyama are yet to return. Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth should be back, however.

Key talking points

Will Arsenal bounce back?

That 22-game unbeaten run built momentum for the Gunners, but that came crashing down in their trip to Southampton. While their injury crisis can be blamed for that result, the defeat likely dampened their confidence nonetheless. Bouncing back with a win against Tottenham would be a boost, as it would also book them a ticket to the Carabao Cup semi-final. Their fans will be praying for that to occur.

Pochettino eyeing a semi-final spot as he aims to end his wait for silverware

While Pochettino has built an exciting and promising team at Tottenham, the elephant in the room continues to be the fact that he has no silverware to show for his time at Spurs. The Premier League will prove difficult to win, but the Carabao Cup could be a realistic opportunity. The north London side hasn't made the last four of this competition since 2014/15 and they have lost their last two League Cup meetings with Arsenal, but Pochettino must put those stats to rest in his quest for his first title.
