The French midfielder's post on Instagram - which he eventually deleted - caused quite a stir among fans and experts.

Paul Pogba has been one of the most named players since the decision to sack Jose Mourinho was revealed. While some wondered how he would react, others were not satisfied with his social media antics as soon as the decision was revealed.

The French star posted a picture on his Instagram feed asking fans to caption it. Most fans understood the reference and immediately linked it with Mourinho's sacking, especially due to the public rows between them.

That social media post was met with disappointment by a former Manchester United legend. Gary Neville, who became one of Mourinho's harshest critics, did not hold back when he was asked his opinion about Pogba's pic.

"To dance on the grave of the manager who has just been sacked is out of order. There is no doubt that Paul Pogba has fallen out with the manager. He doesn't think he's a good coach probably, and vice versa. Jose Mourinho doesn't think Pogba is as good a player as he thinks he is. There is no doubt there is a high level of dislike there," Neville said.

"Mourinho lost his job this morning and Pogba and his people put that Instagram post out. Don't fall for this coincidence, scheduled tweet nonsense. It's garbage, absolute garbage. Do not let him fool you," the former defender added.

Neville even hinted that the falling out between Pogba and Mourinho might have been going on for quite a while.

"There has been a complete breakdown between the pair of them in the last six months, maybe even 12 months," Neville said on Sky Sports.

The team's hierarchy is still pondering its options, with rumors linking Zidane, Conte, Laurent Blanc and Michael Carrick to the managerial job. But if some players at Manchester United -such as Pogba- don't change their attitudes, not even the Gods of football will be able to turn things around.
