LiveSoccerTV takes a look at Juve's historic goal, Chievo's ongoing winless run, and more from matchday 16.

Matchday 16 is nearly complete, with two more interesting fixtures yet to be played. Atalanta will take on Lazio later today, followed by Bologna welcoming AC Milan after the Diavolo's shock elimination from the Europa League.

Nonetheless, after eight games, there were still plenty of talking points from this weekend's round of action, and without further ado, let's get into the five most notable stats from the latest batch of games from this season's edition of Serie A.

Juve rebound from shock loss in the Champions League in style

Juventus were shocked to lose 2-1 to Swiss side Young Boys on matchday six, as it ended their long-standing unbeaten run on the road that had extended back to November 2017 across all competitions. However, with Manchester United also dropping points against Valencia, the Bianconeri still finished their group stage campaign on top of their quartet and now will face Atletico Madrid in a tough round of 16 tie next year.

Massimiliano Allegri's men rebounded well in the Derby della Mole, with Cristiano Ronaldo's decisive penalty helping Juve maintain their unbeaten run in the league and stay firmly in control of Serie A. The win, however was especially notable for two reasons.

First, it marks Juve's eighth win on the road, which equals their longest winning streak away from home in Serie A in the club's history. And second, Cristiano Ronaldo's goal is the 5000th goal scored for Juventus in Serie A. No other club in the Italian club flight has yet to achieve this milestone.

Sampdoria's Fabio Quagliarella continues to lead by example

Meanwhile, Sampdoria continue to try to push for a European football spot, and if they are going to make it happen, they will really hope that veteran striker Fabio Quagliarella continues scoring at a strong rate.

He was on target yet again in a 2-0 win for Sampdora against Parma, making it four straight games sans defeat for his side, and achieved a personal milestone as a result:

More frustration for Udinese

It's been a bad season for Udinese, who are barely clinging to a spot just outside the drop zone. After a decent start, the Zebrette have slid back down the table, and things look just like they did last term, when they lost 11 in a row and barely survived the drop.

These two stats really show how dire things have gotten for the team who once were challenging Italy's bigger sides:

Will they manage a turnaround this time? Only time will tell, but right now, things are not looking good whatsoever.

Chievo still waiting for first win

Chievo managed another draw at the weekend, which means that they have drawn five matches in a row. However, the Flying Donkeys have yet to win a game all season and still sit on the bottom of the table, with just four points from 16 rounds of action.

At this rate, Chievo are set for relegation - unless if they can turn things around. They're already on their third coach and it's not yet the halfway point of the season.

The race for the Capocannoniere

Despite netting his 11th goal of the season, Cristiano Ronaldo has slipped back down into second after Genoa's Piatek also found the back of the net against Roma. Although the Polish international had hit a dry spell previously, he has now started to score again and clearly is refusing to be brushed aside in the battle for the Capocannoniere by Ronaldo, Icardi, and Immobile.

It will be interesting, though, if Piatek will be able to continue leading the way as the second half of the season gets under way, but for now, he remains on top and will want to naturally hang on to the no. 1 spot for as long as possible in his debut term in Serie A.
