Veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs has earned a new one year contract with Manchester United after he continued to impress this season
Ryan Giggs who was voted as the greatest ever player to have played in a Manchester United shirt has continuously performed well for the Red Devils this season. He remains as the only player to have scored in each and every season for the past 21 years.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson told the club's official website: "You run out of words to describe Ryan Giggs. He is a marvelous player and a wonderful man. To have the desire and the ability to play at the top level in such a physically demanding position at his age requires a special person.
"He is still turning in man of the match performances and his experience is so vital for the younger players in the squad."
Meanwhile, Ryan Giggs was equally delighted by the new contract and he is excited to be working with a lot of youngsters who are making their breakthrough with United.
Ryan Giggs said: "All I've ever wanted to do is play for United and I've been lucky enough to do that for 20 years. It's great to know I'm still contributing to the team's success and I feel I've got a lot to offer on and off the pitch.
"This is an exciting time to be involved with so many good young players coming through."
Ryan Giggs is the all-time record appearance holder for the Red Devils, playing an incredible 862 games and scoring 158 goals.
