The Colombian midfielder came in from the bench to give River Plate an edge over bitter rivals Boca Juniors.

A great game had to be decided with a massive goal, and Juan Fernando Quintero stepped up to score that much-needed stunner.

River Plate crowned themselves as champions of an unforgettable Copa Libertadores edition, but that wouldn't have been possible without Quintero's performance.

The game was drawn 1-1 after 90 minutes, and as Boca saw Barrios sent off, things seemed to be going River's way. All this was confirmed with 10 minutes left in the game, as Martínez sent a left-footed shot to the crossbar and into the back of the net to give Los Millonarios a lead they would not lose anymore.

River will go on to play in the FIFA Club World Cup next week with their heads held high, as no Copa Libertadores title will taste sweeter to them after beating their bitter rivals.
