The Red Devils have reportedly beat the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus to convince the winger to move to England.

Manchester United is reportedly on the verge of completing a sensational move for French starlet Noam Emeran. The 16-year-old attacker, who is currently with Ligue 1 outfit Amiens, is set to join the Red Devils in the winter transfer window after the two clubs purportedly agreed on an initial fee of £1.8million.

According to the English tabloid Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho's side will be required to pay a few add-ons in the near future. As a result, the transfer fee for the teenager is expected to rise to £8.9million.

Prior to Noam Emeran's acquisition, Manchester United was believed to be one among a host of European top clubs scouting 16-year-old. The list of interested club featured the likes of Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Barcelona, as well as Valencia.

Regarding the Frenchman's playing style, he admitted in an interview with Amiens' official website that he looks up to Manchester City's Leroy Sane.

"I have no model player in the [Amiens] first-team, but I really like the style of Gael Kakuta. More generally, I admire Leroy Sane," the France U16 star declared.

"My ambition is to be able to be professionally one day and to win titles, but school remains the most important thing for now If there is no school, there is no football."

Emeran is not expected to join the Manchester United first team straight away upon completing his move. However, he will join compatriot Aliou Traore in the Red Devils' academy, with the latter arriving from PSG in December 2017.
