The Argentine player shared his views on the upcoming clash against River Plate, which will be held at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

CONMEBOL's decision to have the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final played at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium has been met with mixed reactions, but one of the harshest comments has been recently made by Carlos Tévez, Boca's captain.

Speaking after the team's training session at Las Rozas' training complex, Tévez aimed a massive dig at CONMEBOL's execs, who's lack of knowledge of the game led them to make this controversial call.

"It's a CONMEBOL thing. This is a Copa Libertadores game and they did not consider neither the fans nor the players. As a friend told me, CONMEBOL has three nutjobs behind a desk who have no idea on how things should be handled. I apologize to the fans, this had nothing to do with us," Tévez said.

"I'm not happy having to play at the Bernabeu, it's not a good thing for us players to be removed from our environment to play a game such as this one. They took away from us the chance to celebrate in our bitter rivals' ground, and they did the same to River fans, in case they were able to beat us," the player added.

Tévez played a key role in CONMEBOL's decision to postpone this game on November 24, as he stepped up to reveal some of his team-mates had been injured during the attack on their bus. Tévez argued that Boca's footballers were really stressed after the incident, which saw him asking for the game to be delayed.
