Zinedine Zidane, Modric's boss with Los Blancos and a massive influence on the player, heaped praise on the 2018 Ballon D'Or winner via Instagram. This message by Zidane will surely have quite an impact on Modric, as he had previously stated how he idolized Zidane and how he would have loved to play alongside him.
"Zizou" made Modric one of his key players during his 30-month stay as Real Madrid coach, which prompted him to congratulate the Croatian ace.
