The Dutch winger reportedly confirmed that he will leave the Bavarians in six months.

Veteran Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben confirmed on Sunday that he will seek playing opportunity elsewhere, come the end of the 2018/2019 season. The 34-year-old will, as a result, brings an end to a 10-year spell with the Bundesliga defending champions having joined from Real Madrid in 2009.

In his career with the Allianz Arena outfit so far, Robben has registered 143 goals and 101 assists in 305 matches. The Dutchman, who has won seven Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, was instrumental in his side winning the Champions League back in 2013. The ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid ace scored the dramatic late winner against Borussia Dortmund.

"This is my last year at Bayern. It has been 10 wonderful years," Robben said according to Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

"I think this is the right thing to do and to make it known now.

"There have been discussions about 'the oldies' at Bayern and all that stuff.

"I made the decision a few weeks ago and the fans now know where I stand.

"It's a big step. It's extraordinary that I can still play at this top level at my age."

Robben’s partnership with Franck Ribery dubbed as “Robbery” is expected to be abandoned with the Frenchman also in the final year of his Bayern Munich contract. Club president Uli Hoeness also established on Sunday that the days of the duo is indeed over.

"Ribery and Robben are very likely to be in their last year at Bayern," Hoeness stated.

"There will be changes in some positions, we will be very aggressive with our transfer policy, our coffers are well filled."
