The opposing strikers entered the Premier League's history books with their goals in Sunday's derby.

The epic North London derby was coupled with drama from the onset with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang getting the match's opener in the 10th minute via a penalty. The Gabonese was handed the opportunity after Spurs' Jan Vertongen handled the ball in his side's 18-yard-box.

Nonetheless, Mauricio Pochettino's side relinquished the lead in the 30th minute after Christian Eriksen's cross was redirected into the net at the near post by Eric Dier. An apparent challenge on Son by Rob Holding in the 32nd-minute gave Tottenham the perfect opportunity to take the lead via Harry Kane prior to the end of the first-half.

As a result, the 25-year-old took his goal tally in the North London derby in the EPL alone to eight, leveling the feat of Adebayor who played for both Arsenal and Tottenham from 2006 to 2009 and 2011 to 2015 respectively.

Tottenham's lead was, however, shortlived with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang restoring parity once again following a slick counter-attacking movement. The forward eventually became the first player to score with 10 successive shots on target in the Premier League since Benni McCarthy did so for Blackburn in October 2007.
