A former transfer target for Los Blancos could make a shock move during the winter.

Real Madrid has been linked with a number of strikers throughout the year, but this time they seem to have a legitimate shot at signing this footballer.

According to a report by Marca, a Ligue 1 footballer seems ready to join Real Madrid and has gone as far as asking his agent, Jorge Mendes, to push the move through. Apparently, the South American striker is seeking for a way out of his current team, and considering Real Madrid's woes in front of goal, his arrival would be a solution to each party's problem.

That player is none other than Radamel Falcao, who's situation at Monaco has become untenable. The team's current woes in the French top flight, added to their president's brush with authorities that saw him getting arrested for alleged corruption charges, has some of their players ready to jump ship as soon as possible.

The main problem for Falcao is his age. According to Marca, Falcao's offer to join Los Blancos does not seem bad at all, but the club has been aiming to rejuvenate their squad, which would make the signing of a soon-to-be 33-year-old footballer rather strange. With that in mind, the report suggests that Falcao's arrival could happen as a loan deal.

Falcao García has scored four goals in 11 Ligue 1 games this season, in what has been a disappointing campaign for the red-and-white side.
