Their results showed the whopping wage gap between Los Blaugranas and the rest of Europe's top-caliber teams, as the La Liga holders are spending over $102 million more than their nearest rival when it comes to player wages.

Barcelona's €487M spending in salaries (over $552M) tops Real Madrid's tally as the top spender in football. Manchester United completes the podium with a massive €337M ($382 miliion), with Manchester City coming in fourth with a wage bill of €296M (over $335M), which is almost 60% of Barcelona's tally.
