Both players were allegedly exposed by the leaks of their contracts with PSG, but both of them clarified these reports in their own way.

When a big game such as the one between Monaco and PSG is close to being played, footballers should try and stay focused on preparing for it. Unfortunately for PSG, some of their best players had to step up to deny reports that allegedly leaked their contracts with Les Parisiens. Those players were none other than Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.

Both players were named in a report by Football Leaks, which included Mbappé's alleged demands to join Les Parisiens last summer, while also discussing an alleged "behaviour clause" by which Neymar earned over $350,000 for paying his respects to the team's fans before and after each game.

Mbappé was the first of the duo to come forward on this matter. In an interview with France Info, the World Cup winner slayed all reports on his deal with PSG, while adding that he takes care of his own finances, contrary to what the publication revealed.

"I just want to say that I'm in charge of my own taxes. That was not an issue when I decided to join PSG. All I cared about was to join a team that guaranteed my growth as a player. I chose PSG because I'm convinced that it is the best club for me," Mbappé stated.

Neymar's reply wasn't as polite, as he took it against those in charge of spreading those rumors. Using his Instagram Stories, Neymar hit back at Brazilian newspaper Globoesporte and asked the to stop publishing stories as the one they ran on his deal with Les Parisiens.

In a later post -which he eventually deleted), Neymar went on with his criticism.

"I don't know what's worse: the source or the voices that report it. What a bunch of uninformed idiots! Tired of this biased press! Thank you God, for every liter of patience you give me," the player stated.

With such problems away from the pitch, we will have to wait and see if these reports have any effect on each of these players' performance against Thierry Henry's team.
