The aftermath of the clash between Porto and Benfica saw the Dragons drop to the third spot in the Portuguese top flight. This weekend, the Eagles will try to avoid embarrassment when they visit one of the most struggling teams in the competition, while Porto returns to the Estadio Do Dragao to try and recover their pride.
The league leaders will travel to face Belenenses, a team currently ranked 12th. The hosts have only been able to win one game, which should give fans a hint on what could go down during this clash.
On Sunday, Porto will try to build up on their UEFA Champions League win when they battle Feirense. Sergio Conceicao's team made the most out of their trip to Russia, and even if some players are quite tired after the trip, their motivation should be sky-high when they enter the pitch in front of their supporters. Feirense has been quite inconsistent, but they should be able to put up a fight against the blue and white side.
Meanwhile, Sporting CP will put an end to Matchday 8 when they face Boavista. The Lions have lost two out of their last three league games, but facing Boavista could be the right medicine to see them back to winning ways.
