Jose is hoping his words of wisdom spark a reaction when they take on Juventus in the Champions League.

On Tuesday, Man United will host Juventus in a highly-anticipated Champions League clash. The Red Devils will have the advantage of playing at home but will carry the heartbreak from their recent weekend tie.

The 20-time Premier League champion traveled to Chelsea in Saturday's early kick-off and shook off their poor form to put in an impressive display. However, a last-minute equalizer robbed Mourinho's men of what would have been an unforgettable Stamford Bridge victory.

Speaking ahead of the midweek European tie, Jose admitted that his players were understandably frustrated with the result. Had they held on for a few more seconds, things could have been different, but the Portuguese tactician had words of encouragement for the squad nonetheless.

"Against Chelsea, there were contradictions in our feelings," Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference, as quoted by Manchester Evening News.

"Because by one side, everybody was happy with the collective performance but nobody was happy with the result, so there were contradictory feelings.

"What I told the players is that you have to try to get the best out of these feelings, by one side keep the happiness and keep that pride and that confidence of the way that we play and by the other side use that anger, if you want to call it that way, to motivate yourself to play a big football match.

"So good."

Against the Bianconeri, Man United will face a new and possibly tougher test. Victory on Saturday would have given them much-needed confidence but the disappointment takes nothing away from this high-stakes game.

Defeat to Allegri's crew would all but kill the Red Devils' chances of winning the group. Furthermore, it would put their odds of progressing under threat should Valencia win.

Led by their former superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus will look to record a victory at Old Trafford. Should Pogba and Co. put in a performance similar to the one over the weekend, they will stand a chance of overcoming the Serie A champion.
