And of course, the Jamaican did his iconic celebration.

Usain Bolt's race to become a professional footballer has received a boost after the Jamaican scored a brace in his first start for Central Coast Mariners. His goals were the third and fourth of the night, as he helped the Australian side to a 4-0 victory over Macarthur South West.

Although this game was a friendly, Bolt was happy to have found the back of the net. For his first goal, the former Olympics athlete lodged onto a pass from Ross McCormack and fired a low shot past the goalkeeper.

His second came courtesy of a defensive blunder from the opposition, with the Jamaican scoring a tap-in from close range. Speaking after the game, the 32-year-old held nothing but joy after the final whistle.

"My first start and scoring two goals, it's a good feeling," Bolt said.

"I'm happy I could come here and show the world I'm improving. I'm keen to be a Mariner, to play my best and get into the team."

Usain did his iconic lightning bolt celebration for his first goal. He then followed that up with a Fortnite celebration after completing his brace. Whether the retired sprinter will get to score in a competitive match remains unknown, however.

Bolt has trained with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, South African club Sundowns and Norway's Stromsgodset before joining the A-League side for an "indefinite training period". The Jamaican has spoken publicly about his desire to go pro, but no word has been given by the club on whether they will offer him a professional contract.
