The football association is looking into the comments of the Manchester United manager following Saturday’s dramatic win over Newcastle.

The English FA is reportedly conducting an investigation into some comments made by Jose Mourinho on the touchline during Manchester United's Premier League clash with Newcastle on Saturday. Numerous speculations online, including a footage, hints at the Portuguese manager muttering some fouls words at the cameras while applauding the home fans who were celebrating his side's comeback.

It is believed that the 51-year-old former Chelsea manager shouted "f*** off sons of b*****s" in his native Portuguese language while he headed for the tunnel. As a result, the English FA has been called upon to review the incident and apportion the necessary sanctions should the Manchester United manager be found guilty.

Nonetheless, Jose Mourinho's action is one believed to have been provoked by events leading to the kick-off of Saturday's encounter. A day prior to his side's massive comeback win against the Magpies, Jose Mourinho was tipped by bookmakers to be shown the exit door by the Red Devils regardless the outcome of the encounter.

The news which caught mainstream attention was subsequently rubbished by Manchester United. The 20-time English champions released a statement categorically refuting that the claim came from their camp. Addressing the media after the win, Jose Mourinho, who was still unhappy about tantrums thrown at him, hit out at reporters and claimed there was a "manhunt" against him.

On the subject of the Portuguese manager's purported touchline statement, the English FA is set to check the footage and then get an official translation before it decides on what course of action to take. However, the span of the activity is yet to defined.
