Bundesliga Matchday 7: TV listings, full fixtures including Bayern Munich vs Borussia M'Gladbach

October 5, 2018 By Michelle Bonsu
LiveSoccerTV is the source to catch all the action of matchday seven in the Bundesliga, including where to watch Bayern vs. Gladbach, and more.

As things stand, the Bundesliga now has a new leader. At least, for now. Borussia Dortmund currently sit on top of the pile heading into matchday seven, pushing serial title winners Bayern down to second. However, that is expected to change, as die Roten are not expected to stay in second for too long. Will we see a shake-up in the table before heading into the international break?

Key fixture - Bayern Munich vs Borussia M'Gladbach

Bayern Munich ended up dropping more points in their last game, as they ended up losing 2-0 to Hertha Berlin. It was the start of a rough week for the Bavarian titans, who were held to a surprise 1-1 draw in the Champions League with Ajax midweek, and marked the second straight Bundesliga fixture they did not cruise to all three points.

Next up is a home clash against Borussia Moenchengladbach. The visitors currently sit in fifth spot and have picked up 11 points from their first six games - which is their best start to a Bundesliga campaign in over three years. However, this impressive form has been bolstered by strong showings at home. On the road, it is an entirely different issue entirely, as Dieter Hecking's men have yet to win a game on the road so far this term, with two draws and one loss to their name.

With Bayern only losing just one of their last 37 home ties at the Allianz Arena, this could theoretically present a daunting task for the visitors. Gladbach have won just one away match in league play since last December, with nine losses since then, and despite Bayern's struggles, on paper at least, the hosts are still viewed as the heavy favorites to get the job done on Saturday.

Talking point - Can Bayern get out of its "mini-funk"?

Bayern currently find themselves in a bit of a rut, and that in itself is a bit unusual as die Roten are so used to dominating the footballing landscape. However, Niko Kovac's side are actually without a win in their last three games across all competitions and will be desperate to get a result here - as his job reportedly is already under threat if he can't improve things at the Allianz Arena before the international hiatus.

But Bayern fans shouldn't fret too much - if they even really are. As usual, their team probably will get themselves out of their "mini-funk" soon enough and life will return to normal at the Allianz Arena, hopefully sooner rather than later, of course. Gladbach, naturally, will be looking to take advantage of this dip in form in order to close the gap on the reigning champions. Will they be able to spring a major upset on Saturday?
