The Welsh coach remains unconvinced about the chances to turn things around if The Special One left the club in the next weeks.

At least there's one Manchester United legend that still believes in Jose Mourinho.

Club legend and most capped player in the Red Devils' history, Ryan Giggs, shared his insights on the team's current woes, and contrary to what most of his former team-mates have stated in the past few weeks, he believes that firing Jose Mourinho would only make things worse for Manchester United not only for the rest of the season, but also in the near future.

Speaking as Wales' coach, Giggs believes that all those who blame Mourinho should point their fingers at Ed Woodward, who failed to provide Mourinho with the right tools to work this summer.

"I believe (Mourinho) should keep his job. The problem of late has been of forward planning. They should take stock, they are going through a tough time," Giggs stated.

The former wingman emphasized on his words by mentioning the period of time it would take for the team to recover from such a move.

"United are going through a tough time at the moment, but change now and you'll be in the same position in a year, two years, quite possibly," Giggs added.

Before the press conference concluded, Giggs adamantly denied being interested in taking over for Mourinho as Manchester United's boss.

"No, my stance hasn't changed,"Giggs concluded.
