The former Man Utd midfielder has slammed the Portuguese manager in a recent assessment.

Ex-Manchester United star Paul Scholes has had some unfriendly words to say about Jose Mourinho. The former England international, while performing his punditry duties on British television network BT Sport, expressed his dissatisfaction with the ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea manager's current demeanor at his former club.

Jose Mourinho has been under-fire in recent times with his latest plight lying in the fact that his Red Devils side endured successive defeats in the Carabao Cup and Premier League against Derby County and West Ham United respectively.

On top of his side's inability to turn things around, the 55-year-old manager has been involved a spat with Paul Pogba and is reportedly losing his dressing room. Having been queried on the current state of things at Manchester United, Paul Scholes did not hold back with his criticisms.

He asserted Jose Mourinho is embarrassing his former club with the way he's acting and he was baffled about the fact that he is still the manager of his former club as he was expecting him to be shown the exit door right after the defeat to West Ham.

"I think it's a bad situation," he said on BT Sport.

"I'm actually sat here surprised he survived after Saturday, the performance was that bad.

"We're going to show clips of attitude and performance, it just was nowhere near.

"He's coming out in press conferences and constantly having a go at players.

"He's having a go at people above him because he's not getting what he wants.

"And I think his mouth is probably out of control.

"I think he's embarrassing the club."

Manchester United's frustrations continued as they were held to a 0-0 full-time result in their Champions League clash at home to Valencia. As a result, Jose Mourinho set an unwanted record as for the first time in his career, he has gone four games without a win.
