The Argentine struck thrice to seal all three points for Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus cruised to victory on Tuesday night when they hosted Young Boys to the Allianz Stadium. The Bianconeri, who was without star forward Cristiano Ronaldo following his suspension against Valencia, was barely tested by the visitors.

With Paulo Dybala taking over the mantle from the Portuguese superstar, a goal fest ensured right from the onset. A pinpoint pass from Leonardo Bonucci from the half-way line was volleyed home first-time by the Argentinian inside the fifth minute.

The 24-year-old striker grabbed his second of the night 28 minutes later to surpass his total tally in the competition last season. Inside the 69th minute, a well-worked ball movement around the penalty area of Young Boys landed at the foot of Juan Cuadrado who placed a pass across for Dybala to complete his hat-trick.

A few milestones were attained by the forward as per the historical archives, he became the only fourth player after Filippo Inzaghi (vs. Dynamo Kyiv, Hamburg), Alessandro Del Piero (vs. Monaco) and Arturo Vidal (vs. Copenhagen) to score a thrice in the history of the Champions League. He subsequently became the second player after his compatriot Lionel Messi to score a hat-trick in the Champions League this season.

As addendum, 'La Joya' also became the fourth player from Argentina to score a hat-trick in the European competition since its inception.
