Les Parisiens' loss against Liverpool raised a few eyebrows among some of the team's legends.

It seems that PSG will have to do more to become true title contenders in the UEFA Champions League.

Not even the MCN attack escaped criticism from former Ballon D'Or winner Jean Pierre Papin, who blasted the team's lack of results when playing key games in the European competition, and blamed the team's large ego for their poor performance in an interview with Le Parisien.

"There are no heroes inside PSG's locker room, there's just a bunch of egos. At some point, you have to do what's best for the team. There's a difference between the superstars we see away from Ligue 1 and the ones we have. We operate under the impression that those who play in France can't be touched," Papin stated.

Then, the footballer aimed a scathing remark at Neymar.

"Why are Liverpool's players giving it all for the team and our players don't? When Neymar played for Barcelona, he was forced to play a part in the team's defensive efforts every once in a while," Papin added.

The former footballer shared Thomas Tuchel's opinion regarding how each member of their stellar attack has to get along with each other in order to have the team winning big games.

"Tuchel said that we can't expect great things from the team if there's some sort of problem between the players, and he's absolutely right. It's up to the players to work to accomplish the team's goals," the Frenchman said.

Lastly, the former striker named who he believes to be the key member of PSG's attack, which should force the other ones to work for the team rather than for their personal benefit.

"There are three great players up front. Now, who should play for whom? Cavani is our Number 9, the one who scores the goals. Mbappé and even Neymar should play for him. It can be difficult for them to adjust to that idea, but we have to decide if we're a team that wants to win the UEFA CL, or if we will be a team where everyone does what they want," Papin concluded.
