The Spanish defender didn't forget about Griezmann's mockery after Atlético beat Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup.

Antoine Griezmann aimed a cheeky dig at Sergio Ramos right after Atlético beat Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup, and even though it's been over a month since that game, the Spanish defender had quite an answer for the Frenchman's taunt.

Revenge is a plate that tastes better when served cold, and Ramos waited for the right time to launch his attack. During today's pre-match press conference, Ramos aimed a scathing remark at Griezmann, who spoke in an interview about how he "eats in the same table as Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi". Ramos' reply leaves no doubt: he doesn't feel the same way.

"His ignorance is bold. When I hear this kid talking, the names of Totti, Buffon, Raúl, Iker and Iniesta come to my head. They've won it all, they have their trophy cabinets filled with titles, and they never won a Ballon D'Or. He should take the advice from Simeone, Koke or Godín, people who have some values he could learn from," Ramos stated.

Ramos then tried to ease his comments about the player, but the "damage" had been done.

"Either way, he is a top player and all, I just wish him all the best,"Ramos added.

These comments by Ramos were followed by an analysis from Los Blancos' captain about the team's chances of success in the UEFA Champions League for a fourth straight year, even if they don't have Cristiano Ronaldo around anymore.

"He was part of an era, but we can't be living on Cristiano's shadow anymore. We have to fill that void and carry on playing. Life goes on. We will always wish him all the best, as long as he doesn't come into our path," Ramos added.
