The Portuguese superstar ended his wait for his first competitive goal for the Bianconeri by scoring two on Sunday.

On Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo's wait for his first competitive goals in a Juventus shirt finally came to an end. Just as Allegri predicted, the Portuguese ace scored his first goals in Serie A in Sunday's clash with Sassuolo.

The goalscoring machine went through his first three games in the Italian top-flight without finding the back of the net, but that run was shattered in his fourth game. After 320 minutes, which coincides with the 50th minute of the weekend tie, the 33-year-old scored.

Things only got better from there, as he completed his brace 15 minutes later. Those goals proved crucial, as the away side scored late in the game which would have been an equalizer had Ronaldo not scored a second.

Furthermore, not only did his two goals help earn the Bianconeri all three points, it also saw him reach an impressive feat. The brace saw him take his club goals tally to 400.

In his time with Sporting, Man United, Real Madrid, and now Juventus; Cristiano has scored a staggering 400 times in 517 appearances. Of those strikes, 311 came at Los Blancos, 84 at the Red Devils, and three at Leões.

And fans were thrilling at seeing the five-time Ballon d'Or back on the score sheet. Check out the best tweets below.
