The meeting between the President of the United States and top FIFA officials took an interesting turn.

President of the United States Donald Trump, on Tuesday, flashed the red card at the media officials who were present at his meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The primary objective of the convention was to celebrate his country securing the bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Mexico and Canada.

With the proceeding ongoing, Trump was presented with two jerseys and a deck of referee cards. Gianni Infantino then explained the uses of the card to his host, citing that the yellow is used to give a forewarning to an offender whereas the red is used to "kick out someone."

Donald Trump, armed with both cards picked the red and wittily showed it at the reporters present at the Oval Office. Watch:

Prior to his hysterical cameo, the U.S highlighted that his country is excited about the prospect of linking up with FIFA to host the 2026 World Cup but was subtly disappointed that he will not be in office by then.

"We're going to have a great partnership, and it's going to be very special.

"I won't be here. Maybe they'll extend the term," Trump said. "If they don't extend, the media is going to be very boring."

Earlier this year, FIFA delegates voted 134-65 to enable the United States, Canada and Mexico beat Morroco's bid for the right to host the tournament.
