The Ligue 1 champions have debunked speculations linking them with a move.

Paris Saint-Germain has categorically declined interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen. A host of reports in recent times suggested that the French champions have tabled a 100-million pound bid to bring the Denmark sensation to the Parc des Princes.

Having joined Tottenham Hotspur from Ajax in 2013, Eriksen has been instrumental in midfield for the London club and has worked his way to become one of the assist kings in European football. This has, as a result, placed him on the radar of a few of the top leagues with PSG being the latest club to have been linked.

However, an email sent to the Association Press by Thomas Tuchel's side highlighted that they have not made any advances for the service of the 26-year-old. The club further cited that the rumors engineered "seem to ignore the current reality of the transfer market."

Despite Paris Saint-Germain ranking as one of the richest clubs in the world in recent years, the club is not exactly in the right position to make marquee signings any time soon. Having broken the bank to acquire the signatures of Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe last season, any high profile signing in this transfer window will undoubtedly attract sanctions as per the regulations of UEFA's Financial Fair Play.
