A few notable last-minute moves could be sealed as the EPL's deadline day clock runs down.

Unlike in seasons past, this summer's transfer window of the English Premiership will be closed three weeks before the rest of the top-flight European leagues. This, according to the football federation and the clubs who voted for the reform, is to ensure that no team is distracted by outgoings and incomings when the season gets underway.

Nevertheless, this new adjustment does not in any way undermine the excitement that comes within the rush hours and last minute deals as some teams are yet to become fully equipped for the tough season ahead. Without much ado, let's dive straight into five potential deals that could be completed in the final hours of the Premier League's summer transfer window.

1. Jack Grealish to Tottenham Hotspur?

With Tottenham Hotspur yet to make any additions to their team this summer, Grealish's sigining could be well celebrated among the Lillie's salivating fan base. For the player, the prospect of featuring in the Premier League as well as the Champions League is too much to pass on.

However, an imminent switch has not been the case all along this summer as Aston Villa's new owners are against the idea of selling a player who is arguably the club's biggest asset. According to multiple reports, Jack Grealish has been infuriated by the decision and may push for a move while he can with Spurs still maintaining interest.

2. Yerry Mina to Everton?

Having moved to Barcelona just over seven months ago, the Colombian defender could be switching clubs once again. An impressive performance at the 2018 World Cup in Russia has boosted the pedigree of the 23-year-old who joined the Catalans from Palmerias for a fee in the region of 10 million pounds.

Yerry Mina is now available for three times that amount and although he's been linked with a potential move to Manchester United who is actively searching for a center back, Everton is said to be leading the race to secure the service of the defender in these latter days.

3. Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United?

It is Ed Woodward vs Daniel Levy with this one. The former has been slammed heavily over the course of the transfer window by Manchester United fans for his incompetence and reluctance to honor Jose Mourinho's wish list.

However, a last-ditch attempt to bring Alderweireld could very much calm the nerves of the Portuguese manager and the club's aficionados. With Woodward refusing to meet Tottenham's 60-million-pound asking fee for the 29-year-old, the negotiations could well and truly drag on for a while but the possiblity of an agreement being reached is high looking at the needs of Manchester United.

4. Danny Ings to Newcastle?

The Liverpool striker has asked to leave Merseyside in other to rejuvenate his career which has been crippled by recurrent injuries. He has been tipped to join former manager of the Reds, Rafa Benitez, whose Newcastle side barely impressed on any front in its preseason games.

Ings' move is, however, complicated by the Magpies recruitment of Solomon Rondon as the forward is expected to fill up the space up top in the upcoming season. Southampton is also said to be in the loop for the Danny Ings. Crucial hours ahead.

5. Wilfred Zaha to Chelsea?

This one has also been around for a while and may as well be decided on the deadline day. With Tottenham reportedly backing off for the signature of the winger, Chelsea remains the only interested party.

Nonetheless, Crystal Palace placing a 75-million-pound tag on the Ivorian may deter the Blues from making their move. Still, a lot could change in the coming hours.
