The Belgian goalie hasn't returned to the team's training sessions, and Blues' coach Maurizio Sarri seems to be tired of waiting.

With Thibaut Courtois still refusing to train with Chelsea, the London-based club has reportedly started to look for a replacement.

According to reports by Marca and the Daily Mail, Chelsea's hierarchy has named three players as Courtois' potential replacements, with two of them currently playing in La Liga, which would make their transfers a bit easier due to the existance of the buyout clause in the Spanish top flight.

Those shot-stoppers are none other than Jan Oblak and Spanish rising star Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Slovenian goalie has been tipped as Courtois' potential replacement for quite some time, with his buyout clause escalating to a whopping $103M, which would make him the most expensive goalkeeper of all time.

Spanish outlet Marca names 23-year-old goalie Kepa Arrizabalaga as Chelsea's next shot-stopper, stating that the Athletic footballer has already traveled to England to seal the deal. Chelsea will allegedly be forced to trigger the player's $92M release clause, which will also make him the most expensive goalkeeper of all time if this deal is confirmed.

Their other option is "cheaper", but the team's supporters may not find the replacement as interesting as their two main targets, since Stoke's relegation and a massive howler in the team's first game against Leeds have damaged Jack Butland's chances of joining the Blues. His arrival to the London-based club would eventually take place if Chelsea pays Stoke's $40M for the player's transfer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is set to take disciplinary action against Thibaut Courtois for not returning to the club in order to force a transfer. The Belgian might be forced to pay a $231,000 fine and spend the next couple of weeks without collecting his paycheck, but maybe he will have things going his way next Thursday, when the summer transfer window shuts down for Premier League teams.
