The bianconeri want to offload the striker in order to fill his void with CR7, while they would also strengthen their defense with a familiar face.

The summer transfer window for Serie A teams closes on August 9, and teams have to try and find suitable reinforcements for what will surely be a tough season.

Even after signing Cristiano Ronaldo., Juventus is one of those teams that needs to add talent to their squad, and they are plotting a major move that will see them give three players to AC Milan with one going the other way.

Gonzalo Higuaín, the former most expensive transfer in Juventus' history, is set to leave the club due to CR7's arrival, and even if the bianconeri didn't want to reinforce one of their bitter rivals, having one of their icons back would be enough to think about it. The player Juventus has targeted is none other than former captain Leonardo Bonucci, who would return to the Old Lady one year after his departure.

Added to those names, Medhi Benatia and Marko Pjaca would leave the club to join AC Milan as part of the deal. Both players have been deemed surplus to the team's requirements, and letting them leave to have Bonucci back seems like a good deal for Massimiliano Allegri and Co.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal is close to being announced, but Chelsea's interest to sign Higuain could tear everything apart.
