Roma has struck an agreement with Bordeaux for the transfer of the 21-year-old winger.

Malcom who was reportedly on his way to join Everton in the English Premier League has rerouted to Italy. The Toffees maintained a keen interest in securing the signature of the Brazilian starlet but could not persuade him to make the switch.

They subsequently conceded defeat after Malcom expressed his desire to move to Roma. On Monday, both the Giallorossi and Bordeaux confirmed that an agreement has been reached for the player to complete his switch to the Serie A. According to Roma, Malcom is yet to agree to personal terms and is subject to a medical in the coming days.

The move will earn Bordeaux a staggering 40 million euros (£35.7million), having paid only €5 million to obtain 50% of the rights of the player from Corinthians back in January 2016. Malcom, on the other hand, becomes AS Roma's third signing after Javier Pastore and Patrick Kluivert.

The 21-year-old forward made 96 appearances and scored 23 goals in two-year stint in the French Ligue 1.
