Bayern Munich tables £15 million offer for MLS sensation Alphonso Davies

The Bavarians are in talks to sign Vancouver Whitecaps' teenage star.

German heavyweight Bayern Munich is eyeing a deal to bring Alphonso Davies from the MLS to the Bundesliga. According to the Daily Mail, negotiations are already underway and the Bavarians have been asked to make an initial payment of £9.5 million with £4.5 million in add-ons for the Ghanaian-born Canadian.

Die Roten is understood to be aiming at improving its sporting and commercial activities in North America and one of the means to tap into te market is by adding one of its biggest prodigies to its roster. The Bundesliga champions are currently on tour in the United States participating in this year’s ICC tournament.

Alphonso Davis, on the other hand, has impressed massively for Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS and, deservedly so, has attracted interest from top European clubs. The teenager who is the first player born in the 2000s to feature in an MLS game has already bagged three goals and six assist in 20 appearances for his club side.

He was named one among the 60 best young  football talents in the world and his exploit has already earned him six caps for the Canadian senior national team.
