July 15, 2018 By Emmanuel K. Budu-Annor
Kylian Mbappe has matched yet another record by the legendary Brazillian.

He has been hailed as France's biggest star at Russia 2018 and he proved once again why that is so. The 19-year-old sensation was heavily involved for France in their crunch final encounter with Croatia.

Having done most of the work in the build-up for France's third goal, the PSG prodigy landed himself on the scoresheet in prime fashion. Four minutes after Paul Pogba's 59th-minute goal, Mbappe struck a thunderbolt from the edge of the Croatian penalty area to increase his side's tally to four.

He as a result became the first teenager after Pele in 1958 to score in the final of a FIFA World Cup. The Brazil legend initially achieved his fate at the age of 17 years and 249 days in his country's win over Sweden

Mylian Mbappe's milestone measns he has already leveled two records held by Pele at the World Cup. His first came after he matched the Brazilian's record to become the second teenager in the history of the competition to score in the knockout stages with his goal against Argentina in the Round of 16.
