Jorge Mendes gave an interview to a Portuguese journal, where he didn't deny all the rumors surrounding his most famous client.

As Cristiano's transfer saga of the summer continues, the entire Real Madrid fanbase is searching for some clarity on the matter, and judging by Jorge Mendes' words, the Portuguese ace is closer to an exit from the Spanish giants than ever.

The Portuguese agent, who is also a close friend of the five-time Ballon D'Or winner, gave Portuguese journal Record an update on the footballer's transfer situation, and even if he kept a veil of mistery on the matter, those who can read between the lines can expect Cristiano's departure from Real Madrid.

"If Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Real Madrid he will be eternally grateful to the club, the president, the whole team, the medical staff, all the staff without exception, the supporters and all the madridistas around the world. It will only be a new stage and a new challenge in his brilliant career," Mendes stated.

The most recent reports hint that Mendes' meeting with Florentino Pérez will not be the last, as the president's right-hand man José Angel Sánchez asked the agent to come up with an offer that guarantees the club at least $117M.

Mendes allegedly replied in the affirmative, adding that Juventus will be the team where his client will play next season.

That meeting between the agent and Pérez's right-hand man was reportedly used to determine if there was any chance of a wage increase with Los Blancos. Judging by Mendes' words, that possibility is out of the question.
