Cristiano Ronaldo is in danger of creating for himself a bigger image of hate. The Real Madrid star knows how to win games, but not the respect of most football fans as he has “a screw loose”.
Last weekend, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Osasuna’s Pandiani were at the centre of a heated dispute. The Portuguese winger, who couldn’t stand provocation from Pamplona’s embarrassing atmosphere, mocked Pandiani as he questioned the amount of his salary.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who earns around £200,000 a week, also voiced out his frustration at Real Madrid’s unfortunate 1-0 loss against Osasuna which put them 7 points behind Barcelona. CR7 blamed his distraction on “constant fouls and more balls than are normally allowed on the field” – something which made the match look like a “naval battle” according to the former Ballon d’Or winner.

But Osasuna players haven’t been impressed by Cristiano Ronaldo’s attitude at all. The Real Madrid star turns 26 on Saturday and Pandiani has asked him to grow up by following the example of his rival and El Clasico expert Lionel Messi.

“Cristiano Ronaldo must be more humble. He has a screw loose. He should learn from Lionel Messi and lose his cocky attitude.

“He creates problems every week that should normally be penalised. Real Madrid are paying for his cocky attitude.”

And Pandiani’s harsh words against Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t stop there. The 34-year-old player, who has won the Copa del Rey thrice with Deportivo, Real Mallorca and Espanyol in 2002, 2003 and 2006 respectively, continued:

“When he has won the same trophies as me in Spain, then he’ll be able to say something [such as about my salary]. You have to know where you come from and be more humble. I think Ronaldo has a screw loose.

“Real Madrid should start wondering why Barcelona are applauded everywhere whereas they are booed and jeered!”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s hot tempered attitude has seen him been involved in a number of nasty incidents. He pushed Barcelona’s respectable coach Pep Guardiola in November 2010’s El Clasico and earned a yellow card for that amid insults from Barcelona players who hurried to the scene.

The Real Madrid superstar has also taken part in fights against opposition fans, players and even against officials – one of which he once called “hijo de p***” (son of a b*tch in Spanish). In fact, Cristiano Ronaldo’s stained image in the eyes of millions of fans across the world may never recover.

Now while the controversial winger claims that he is not bothered by criticism, Osasuna’s Pandiani also claims that Cristiano Ronaldo may well be suffering from mental illness. What a response to CR7's provocative salary taunt!
