The Portuguese striker hasn't reached an agreement to extend his contract with Los Blancos, as he demands an hefty wage increase.

Cristiano Ronaldo's wage demands are close to being snubbed by Real Madrid, and if that wasn't enough, the Spanish giants have taken one step further to facilitate the player's exit.

According to Spanish website OKDiario, the Portuguese ace has reached an agreement to lower his buyout clause from 1 billion euros(around $1.15 b) to 120 million($138M), which would make it easier for other clubs to attempt his signing.

Real Madrid's intentions to see the player leave came after CR7 voiced his desire to end his stint with Los Blancos just moments after the end of the UEFA Champions League final. The player's words were fueled by Florentino Perez's reluctance to extend his current deal with the team, which also involved a hefty wage increase.

Sources close to the footballer told the club that Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Milan have presented bids to his agent, Jorge Mendes. Following UEFA's ban against Milan due to their infringement of the Financial Fair Play rules, it seems like all Premier League teams will have the best shot at signing the player.

According to OKDiario, the agreement also states that this buyout clause will not come into effect if PSG, Barcelona or any other Spanish club attempts to sign the player, which means they would still have to offer 1 billion euros for the player's services.
