Löw praises Sweden and Mexico after WC exit

Germany boss heaps praise on Sweden and Mexico after WC exit

June 27, 2018 By Oscar Rojas
The German boss admitted that he will think about his future in the next few days, despite having signed a contract extension prior to the competition.

Joachim Löw was the man who gave Germany one of their biggest wins four years ago, but now, he's living the other side of life.

The German boss admitted that his team did little to help their fortune whn playing against South Korea, and praised Mexico and Sweden after eliminating them from the 2018 World Cup.

"We have to congratulate our opponents. We didn't deserve to win the title...we don't even deserve being in the next round. We are out not because we wanted it, but because we failed to convert our chances in front of goal," Löw stated.

The coach also added that he will analyze his future as Die Mannschaft's boss, but he will take his time in doing so.

"Saying something right now would be premature, I need at least a couple of hours. I'm still in shock. It's a big disappointment, no doubt about it. I think we prepared well for this World Cup, and we tried to revert the so-called 'Champions' curse'. Nonetheless, we were not able to show our best football," Löw added.

Germany will travel to their country on Thursday. Their players are expected to have a few days off before they go back to their respective teams.
