Hannes Halldorsson earned Man of the Match honors following his impressive performance against Argentina, but he failed to brag about it.

Some people should learn how to win, and others should learn how to lose.

The game between Argentina and Iceland left a few talking points, and one of them was, without a doubt, the penalty kick that Lionel Messi saw saved by Hannes Halldorsson. The Icelandic shot-stopper was elected as Man of the Match, but he showed off other skills when he appeared in front of the media.

Speaking in the post-match presser, Halldorsson admitted that he had studied Messi's moves when taking penalties, which made him guess correctly where he was going to kick the ball.

"This is a situation I knew could happen, it was a long-shot but it happened. I looked at some of his penalties and also looked into how I had behaved in the last penalties against me. So, I had a good feeling about which way he was going to go today," Halldorsson stated.

The highlight of the post-match press conference came when an Argentine journalist tried to downplay Iceland's first World Cup point by asking Halldorsson why they celebrated this point as if they had won the game.

"Are you Cristiano Ronaldo's uncle? It's a big draw for us! We played against the best player in the world and against one of the best teams in the world, we were playing our first game in the World Cup. We said exactly the same thing when we faced Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo in the Euro, we celebrated that point and we celebrated today's draw against Argentina," the goalkeeper added.

Iceland will go on to face Nigeria in their second game of the FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, Argentina will lock horns against Croatia.
