Match Preview
Spain and Tunisia will feature in their last World Cup preparatory match on Saturday. Both countries have already arrived in Russia and are set to battle it out at the Stadion FK Krasnodar.
La Roja, who has been tipped as a favorite of the competition will aim at a victory to boost momentum in the camp prior to its crunch Group B opener with Portugal on June 15. Julen Lopetegui's men are currently on a 19-game unbeaten run and have not lost a single game since the former FC Porto manager took over after Euro 2016.
However, Spain's form in recent times has been atypical having recorded two wins and three draws in their last five appearances. With talent being abundant in their ranks, it will be interesting to see which personnel will be selected to serve up the winning formula. As no position in the starting lineup is assured, the likes of Odrizola, Asensio, and Isco will certainly give veterans such as Andres Iniesta and David Silva and tough competition for spots.
For Tunisia, the objective of getting an effective and efficient lineup is relatively the same. The North Africans will certainly not have an easy ride at Russia having been drawn in the same group with the likes of Belgium, England, and Panama.
They will, however, be looking forward to bigger things with a nine-game unbeaten run under their belt so far. Tunisia may not have many household names in their setup but the likes of Wahbi Khazri and veteran goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi are expected to turn up in their bid to shock 2010's FIFA World Cup winners.
