The Egyptian ace may not be able to play for with his National Team in their first World Cup appearance since 1990.

Things are not looking good for Egypt's National Team, as Mohamed Salah's presence in the 2018 World Cup is in serious jeopardy after the shoulder injury he picked up during last Saturday's UEFA Champions League final.

A report by French newspaper L'Equipe suggests that the Pharaohs top gun will not be available to play for the entire Group Stage of the tournament, as initial medical assessments show that Liverpool's ace might need between three and four weeks to be 100% fit to play.

Ramos and Salah were involved in a clash during the first half of the game between Real Madrid and Liverpool, which ended with an injury to Salah's left shoulder.

With 16 days left before the beginning of the competition, if Salah's recovery time extends for "only" three weeks, he would be able to play in Egypt's games against Russia and Saudi Arabia. If he needs four weeks to recover, he'd almost certainly miss the entire group stage.

Egypt relied on Salah to lead them past Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia in Group A of the competition, but his untimely injury could see him miss this year's main event in the world of football.
