The French striker added his name to a very exclusive list with his game-winning goals against OM.

At long last, Antoine Griezmann got the trophy he was missing as an Atlético player. The French star led the way for Diego Simeone's men with a well-timed brace, and gave Los Colchoneros almost single-handedly the UEFA Europa League title.

This is the third time in which Los Colchoneros have won this title in the ongoing decade, but Griezmann needed to make his presence felt in what could be his final European game at Atlético.

The French star didn't want to say goodbye to the red and white side without cementing his name in the team's history, and he found a way to do so throughout the team's entire UEFA Europa League campaign.

The former Real Sociedad striker joined two club legends with his brace today.

"Atlético Madrid players that scored two or more goals in a European Final:

Forlán: 2 in UEL final 2009-10

Falcao: 2 in UEL final 2011-12

Falcao: 3 in UEFA Supercup 2012

Griezmann: 2 in UEL final 2017-18."

Griezmann also became the second French footballer in history to score a brace in a title-deciding game. He matched what Djibril Cissé did in the 2005 UEFA Super Cup.
